Eating The best Satay at Tanjungpinang Port with Lovely MoM

Are you a fan of Satay known as Sate in Indonesia ??
Yess, i am !  Satay may consist of diced or sliced chicken,goat,mutton,pork,beef or meat that grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with  various spicy seasonings. Satay may be served with a spicy peanut sauce dip or peanut gravy, sliver of onions, cucumber and ketupat (rice cakes) . Most of Indonesian uses a soy based dip.

Satay originated in Java,Indonesia .It available in almost anywhere in Indonesia where it has become a national dish . But this Satay is my favourite that called 'Sate Padang' from Padang that surrounding area in West Sumatera which is made from cow or goat offal boiled in spicy broth then grilled. It's main characteristic is a yellow sauce made from rice flour mixed with spicy offal broth,tumeric,ginger,garlic,coriander,galangal root,cumin,curry powder and salt.


Satay is a very populer delicacy in Indonesia. Indonesia's diverse ethnic groups' culinary arts (see Indonesian cuisine) have produced a wide variety of satays . In Indonesia, satay can be obtained from a travelling satay vendor, from street side tent restaurant, in an upper class restaurant or during traditional celebration feasts.
